De’Silva first came into notoriety for designing the Alfa Romeo 156 and 147. From Alfa, he was poached by SEAT, where he designed the current incarnations of the León and Toledo, employing the same sporty design philosophy.

De’Silva's first design since becoming head of styling for Lamborghini was the 2006 Lamborghini Miura concept, first shown at the Los Angeles Auto Show in January.

His favourite car is the new Audi A5, which will be launched in the year 2007.
