Hello

My name is Roger (Rawja if you're from LawnGuyland) and I'm totally fixated on automobiles, I just can't help it. I'm probably the only person I know can find themselves fascinated by relatively pedestrian cars. Given the amount of time I spend sitting in traffic, it's prolly a good thing. I seem to have a predisposition for falling in love with cars that ultimately fail in the marketplace, GMs in particular. I presently own and drive an '06 Yamaha Morphous (Maxam outside of the US), a '93 Pontiac Trans Sport, an '88 Buick Reatta and an '84 Cadillac Seville Elegante. I also have an '89 Buick Reatta mouldering in my driveway awaiting disassembly.

Cars I've owned (in the roughly the order I owned them):

Plus probably a couple I don't recall at the moment.

My Dream Garage

What I'd have in my garage/warehouse if I had unlimited funds, and which probably reveals my approximate age and vehicular proclivities

Automotive Peeves

  • "Carriage tops". I think they should be illegal.
  • Tacky aftermarket Grilles.
  • Vinyl roofs.
  • Poorly-selected aftermarket giant chrome rims.
  • Earth-tones in general.
  • Wood. Real or fake it is usually is a serious detraction for me. (Jaguars and certain Cadillacs excepted)
  • Aftermarket "gold packages"

Automotive Loves

  • Digital dashboards, the more complex and "Tokyo by night", the better.
  • "Longer, lower, wider"
  • Wheel spats.
  • Needless complexity
  • Risk-taking design
  • Efficiency
