A Mid-Size Car, frequently referred to as an intermediate, is the North American term for an automobile with a size between that of a Compact car and a [[Full-Size Cars]]. In Europe, cars of a similar size are often referred to as Large family cars or Executive cars, depending on whether they are Luxury cars. As many of them are [[sedan]]s, they are commonly called saloon cars within the United Kingdom and [[sedan]]s throughout Europe.
