A Mid-Size Car, frequently referred to as an intermediate, is the North American term for an automobile with a size between that of a Compact car and a Full-Size Cars. In Europe, cars of a similar size are often referred to as Large family cars or Executive cars, depending on whether they are Luxury cars. As many of them are sedans, they are commonly called saloon cars within the United Kingdom and sedans throughout Europe.
