Wikicars, a place to share your automotive knowledge
Jump to navigationJump to search

This page lays out some conventions on how to add and organize content on Wikicars. Like most things on a wiki site, those conventions are subject to community discussion and formulation, so we encourage you to join the process by clicking on the Discussion tab at the top of this page.

And that brings us to Convention #1, which is kind of a Golden Wiki Rule: Do all your debating on the discussion page, not on the article page. Wikicars provides ample opportunity to provide opinions on its automotive topics, but the place to hash out competing views is in a discussion, not in an article. The goal of the articles is to provide useful information as succinctly as possible, and back-and-forths over whether, for example, the Honda Accord Hybrid should be a separate article from the non-hybrid Accord belong in the background.
