Introduction
History
The Autocars Company LTD was founded in Israel during the 1950s. The first unique model was the Sussita, with a fiberglass shell and a Ford Anglia engine. The Sussita became one of the best selling cars in Israel, largely due to favorable taxation. Later models used the name Carmel; some used Triumph engines. An early attempt to market the Sussita in the U.S. under the name Sabra was unsuccessful.
