Introduction

History

The majestic WA touring cars were certainly very different from Abingdon's original sports car product. The 1938 Motor show saw the announcement of the WA model. The WA is the rarest of the big MGs since the production was cut short due to re-tooling the MG factory in mid 1939 to build light armor for the war effort. Only 89 WA Salmons and Sons Dropheads were built, and it is estimated that only 22 survive today.
