The 2005 Mercury Meta-One was a Concept vehicle built by Mercury. The Mercury Met-One was scheduled to go into production late 2006 as a 2007 Model and also scheduled to replace the Ford Freestyle. But the Meta-One was never put into production due to Fords Way Forward Plan. The closest thing people ever saw to a Production version of the Meta-One was a Camouflaged test vehicle that was indeed later proved to be a Mercury Meta-One. Ford Later stated that the Meta-One in camouflage was just a test vehicle being used to test Ford's new 3.5L Cyclone V6 Engine. Its truly sad Mercury Meta-One was never put into production and replaced the Ford Freestyle because it would have given Mercury a truly unique vehicle to call their own.
