Devin Cars was founded by Bill Devin, the Devin company produced a variety of race and kit cars in the 1950s and 1960s. Devin was responsible for a variety of innovations such as demonstrating the worlds first OHV rubber toothed belt which has become standard on most modern engines.<ref>Ritch, Ocee. First OHV Rubber Toothed Timing Belt
The 1956 SCCA National Champion was a Devin car running the Panhard bottom-end a pair of Norton "Manx" motorcycle cylinders with overhead cams driven with rubber toothed belts.
