The Bugatti EB 118 show car debuted in 1998. It featured a 6.2 liter turbocharged W18 engine that produced 555 hp (408 kW) and 479 ft·lbf (650 Nm). It had permanent all wheel drive. The design of the car was intended to echo the 1931 Bugatti Type 50, and it features a longitudinal groove echoing the Bugatti Atlantic.
