Mitsubishi will put its Colt electric mini-car on Japanese streets by 2010. It competes in a category dominated by 600cc gas-powered mini-cars that face lesser regulations. With competing cars already rated at 100mpgs in Japan, 93 miles with a top speed of 93 mphs might be just enough to disrupt Suzuki and the other leaders.
