The Packard Pacifica started its life as entry in a car design contest run by Saga Magazine in 1952. The entry won the contest and was printed on the cover of the magazine, but was never built. In 2001, Carl Schneider of Eureka, California comissioned the car to be built. Its main feature, a retractable hardtop, makes this Packard one of a kind in the world.
