The Ferrari F2008, internally codenamed 659, is the 54th single-seater race car produced by constructor Ferrari and is intended to compete in the 2008 Formula One championship. It suceeds the Ferrari F2007 and will bring a host of changes to F1, amongst which the new SECU (Standard Electronic Control Unit), new gearbox (which according to rules must now be used for four consecutive events), better safety (such as higher side protection around the driver's helmet) and the eschewing of traction control.
