Recent Changes
- At the 2008 Paris Motor Show, Ford unveiled the Kuga 2.5 Turbo Individual. The SUV will be powered by a 200 hp 2.5-liter turbocharged petrol powerplant with a choice of either a 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic. The most important bit however is the Individual bodykit inspired by the Ford Iosis X Concept that will give the Kuga a more aggressive and upscale visage. Among the visual tweaks are a new matte aluminum grille mouth with pronounced dual air scoops on each side reminiscent of a 1960's race car, extended underbody rocker panels which stretch bumper to bumper, aluminum-look rear diffuser/skid plate tray, longer rear spoiler and 20-inch alloy wheels, all of which scream sporting intentions. Inside, the Kuga Individual sports a nifty high-gloss 'Piano White' trim cladding the center console, center stack surfaces and door-pull handles which contrast the sea of black plastic in the dash and door panels. However, the upscale SUV also has great lashings of dark leather in the seats and door panel tops. The leather trim is made up of two different types of the material - softer Ebony colored Nappa leather for the seat bolsters and seatbacks and a heavily grained 'Bond' leather for the rest of the seat. Both leathers are bordered by contrasting light grey piping arranged to form a unique sporty graphic. [1]
