Recent Changes

  • As expected, Peugeot has launched a coupe-convertible variant of the 308 subcompact. The 308CC debuts just in time for the 2009 model year with an official unveiling in October 2008's Paris Motor Show. [1][2]
  • For the 2009 MY, Peugeot added a wagon variant to the 308 lineup at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. The 308 SW is powered by a range of engine choices: the Petrol lineup consist of the naturally aspirated 95 HP 1.4-liter and 120 HP 1.6-liter units as well as the 1.6-liter turbocharged unit available with 140 HP (Auto), 150 HP and 175 HP while Diesel options include the 90 HP 1.4-liter, 110 HP 1.6-liter and 136 HP 1.6-liter. Replacing the outgoing 307 SW, the new wagon has also grown in size. Its wheelbase is now 100 mm longer and rear overhang has increased by 124 mm. The car is expected to go on sale by the summer of 2008. [3]
  • For the 2009 MY, Peugeot will also add its range-topper variant: the 308 GT. Debuting at the same show as the SW, the GT sports a 1.6 litre turbo-charged THP 175 HP petrol engine, previously found in the 207 GTi THP 175 attached to a 6-speed manual tranny. Acceleration figures are pegged 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.3 sec on to a top speed of 140 mph – 225 km/h. - The car also sports a revised bodywork and exclusive interior accoutrements. The car goes on sale in Europe during the Spring of 2008.[4]
