Recent Changes
- Australian-bound Teanas (Maximas) will get three trim levels. The ST-L will be powered by a 2.5L V6 and comes with leather upholstered interior, electric front seats, dual-zone climate-control air conditioning, a comprehensive safety pack and a full-size spare wheel at the cost of $33,990 AUD. The ST-S will be powered by a 3.5L V6 engine and adds rear parking sensors and heated seats with the price of $37,990 AUD and the top-of-the-range Ti, at $46,990 AUD gets the same engine but adds satellite navigation, a reversing camera, a DVD player and a sunroof.
- The Teana received a minor facelift in 2006, consisting of new bumpers, head, fog and tail lamps and chrome trimming.
- At the 2008 Beijing Motor Show, the Nissan Teana receives a complete overhaul culminating in an all new model generation. The car takes its styling from the previous year's Nissan Intima Concept, which debuted at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. Motivation is derived from Nissan's VQ25DE and VQ35DE V6 engines mated to the XTRONIC CVT (continuously variable transmission). Of interest, the Chinese market will be able to choose a 2.0 liter Inline 4 (MR20DE) option. [1]

Trim levels for the J31 are 200JK (QR20DE), 230JM (VQ23DE) , 230JK (QR25DE) and the 350JM (VQ35DE). For the J32, there is the 200XL (MR20DE), 250XV (VQ25DE) and the 350XV (VQ35DE)
