'''The Captain’s Choice'''

Years after bangle shocked the motoring world with the bold shapes and circles of the 7-series, we can now finally appreciate Munich’s flagship sedan for what is truly is.  One impressive design masterpiece.  Fresh from its last make-over, the 7-Series dons a more pleasing front fascia while the once dreaded I-Drive benefits from a more user-friendly program.  Being the top luxury carriage from the Bavarian automaker, the 7-Series comes with a slew of technological features that would make any executive proud.  Take for instance the BMW Night Vision which works with an infrared camera that feeds images to the on-board central monitor.  This helps identify people or animals on the road which at plain view may be hard to identify.  Of course, standard safety features of the BMW [http://www.autopartsplace.com auto parts]such as active head restraints, ABS, DSC and EBC are all there.  The 730i now features the new lightweight 3.0-liter magnesium aluminum composite engine recently unveiled in the 630i and 330i. The new powerplant delivers 258bhp at 6,600rpm, up 12 per cent compared with its predecessor, and 300Nm of torque at 2,500 - 4,000rpm. As a consequence, the new 730i offers the best power-to-weight ratio and highest output per liter of any car in its class. Hauling this gargantuan is a collection of excellent motors, with both diesel and petrol engines to choose from.  The 3.0 turbo-diesel in the 730d does a commendable job propelling this 2000+kg vehicle, with its 383 lb-ft of torque coming in at a low 2000rpm.  The base 730Li model offers 258hp from the inline -6 motor, long the trademark of BMW.  The range topper of course is the 760i with a 6-liter V12 outputting 439 HP.
