Generation after generation, Crown is still the most popular company car in Japan and it is a line of full-size luxury sedans It also serves as taxis, police and government officials cars, but its presence is bounded in domestic market. One word summarizes its character - Conservative.

The range was primarily available in Japan and some other Asian countries, it was manufactured there from the mid 1960s until the late 1980s using many local components and also sold in some markets as another local brands as FAW in china which produced the crown Majesta which its own another name.

Most models of the car are distinguishable by a front 'Crown' badge, but the common Toyota badge is usually used on the rear.
