Having one of the most respected and storied automotive backgrounds, Germany boasts an impressive list of vehicles that have been employed by the two main figureheads of German politics, The President and the Chancellor, not to mention other Heads of State and policymakers the world over. This is a rarified class populated by the likes of Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Maybach and Pullman. However, there have been a few surprises such as a Volkswagen, albeit a Phaeton - their top-of-the-line full-size luxury limousine.
