Recent Changes

  • On Christmas Eve 2009, Samsung unveiled the third generation SM5 on the internet. Now based on the Renault Laguna instead of the Nissan Teana, the new SM5 features Nissan's 2.0-litre petrol engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission. A turbo diesel is also in the pipeline. Kit-wise, the new SM5 contains niceties such as adaptive xenon headlights and massage front seats. According to some sources, the car took Samsung 36 months of development time and cost 400 million won ($340 million). Sales are expected to begin in late January 2010. [1]
