A run flat tire is a is designed to resist the effects of deflation and to enable the vehicle to continue to be driven. This is usually implemented through more rigid sidewalls allowing for the weight of the vehicle while tire pressure is reduced or an etxra lining within the tire the seals itself incase of a puncture.
