The 75 was a great car - fact.

The model was developed by BMW to be the best front wheel drive car ever, and it is generally reckoned that they achieved this with the 75. The design of the car was very traditional, yet elegant.

Originally the car was designed to be a 4 door saloon only, available with a mixture of petrol and diesel engines, including 2.0 BMW diesel engines with two different power outputs, 1.8 K-Series petrol, 2.0 KV6 petrol and others, including later on a powerful V8.

Under independent ownership an estate (known as the Tourer) was added, and a 2 door coupe concept was shown, though sadly never made production. The cars were generally well liked by their owners, and they were extremely comfortable cars too. The car was face lifted in 2004.

I believe that revised versions of the car will be relaunched by both Nanjing (as the Roewe 750) and by another Chinese company as an MG (which will now stand for Modern Gentleman!)
