The Pontiac G8 is a rear-wheel-drive, four-door sedan to be made by Pontiac as a 2008 year model vehicle and is also known as the Holden Commodore in Australia, the country of its origin. It is the sucessor to the Pontiac Grand Prix and Pontiac Bonneville. It was a shortlived model following GM's announcement to phase out the Pontiac brand by 2010.

Criticisms

Many on the new forum [www.g8board.com] have criticized the cars tailights and wheels more than anything else. As with the 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO, however, bumpers and lights can be swapped from the Austrailian version of the car, the Holden Commodore.
