Peter Horbury is a car designer. Born c.1950 in Alnwick, England, Horbury attended King Edward VII School in Sheffield (photo) and later the Royal College of Art in London.

He became Design Director of Volvo in 1991 and oversaw the design of the S60, S80, the V70 wagon and the XC90.

In 2002, he was appointed head of all the Ford Motor Company luxury-car studios — Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston, and Volvo. Since December 2003, he has been head of all Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury design for North America, running a design staff of 800.

He was in the same year at school as Martin Smith, Executive Director of Design at Ford Europe.
