The Nissan Pintara was a vehicle produced by Nissan Australia from 1986 till 1993. There are two models of the Pintara, the original model was the R31, it was basically a 4 cylinder version of the R31 Skyline model. This model was available in a sedan and wagon form. It came in various trim models. Series 1 came in GX (base model) and GXE (luxury model). Series 2 came in GLI (base model) and GXE (luxury model). Series 3 Executive (base model) and GXE (luxury model). Production of the R31 ended in 1990 with the introduction of the next model the U12 Pintara. This model was a rebadged version on the U12 Bluebird. The model eventually came to an end when Nissan Australia closed its production plant and switched to a full import line up of vechiles. The model that replaced the Pintara was the U13 Bluebird
