Unique Attributes

This is the first vehicle in the motorsport class to feature an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The interior is similar to the regular IS, but adds carbon fiber panels, F-badging, blue stitching, and a different white interior color is available. The gauges are also modified.

The exterior appearance of the IS-F has drawn some criticism from some reviewers.

The Lexus IS-F is expected to go on sale in Japan, Europe, North America, Australia, and parts of Asia and the Middle East.

Design quirks and oddities

The sloped bulge on the hood is to accomodate the larger 5.0L V8 engine.
