The 2007 [[Lexus|Lexus]] GS 450h is the second foray into the [[Hybrid Cars|hybrid]] market for this brand name of the [[Toyota|Toyota Motor Corporation]], the first being last year's [[Lexus RX 400h|RX 400h]] sport utility.

[[Hybrid Cars|Hybrids]] can be designed for fuel economy like the [[Toyota Prius|Toyota_Prius]], or for increased power like the [[Honda Accord Hybrid]].  The [[Lexus|Lexus]] GS 450h, which will use a 3.5-liter [[V6|V6]] engine and a high-output electric motor driving the rear wheels to place the [[HP|horsepower]] at the level of a V8 engine, falls squarely into the latter category.

With just 2,000 units available, even at the $54,900 base price [[Lexus|Lexus]] will easily sell every GS 450h unit.
