The Chevrolet Lumina Ute was introduced in limited numbers in South Africa in 2005 in 5.7 L form. It proved popular, so the following year the 6.0 version was introduced.

The holden Ute comes in 4 trim levels: omega, sv6, SS, and SSV. the first two feature V6 engines, the sv6 being the more luxurious V6 model and the omega being the base. the SS and SSV models feature a 6.0 liter V8 with the latter again having more luxurious features.
