History of American Trader " CarsUnder10k.com "
* 2009 ZENN Electric Car.
Mr. George Christman conceived the idea behind American Ad Trader over two years ago while researching the net for a high-end sports car. His frustration with existing online auto classified sites — clumsy to use, impersonal, steep costs, overwhelmed with dealers, and more of a research environment than a viable matchmaking site for buyers/sellers (citing the lack of local presence and local inventories) — convinced him that there was a better way to use the internet to research, comparison shop, and purchase a new or used vehicle. Mr. Christman assembled a core development team of colleagues from RPI, and the three set out to revolutionize the online classified market for motorized vehicles. The founding members spent the next two years sacrificing compensation and investing over $100,000 in personal capital to build a better service. American Ad Trader was incorporated in late 2005.

In the fourth quarter of 2005, the founders attracted a veteran entrepreneur in the software industry to lead the company through the next formative business growth stages, and have surrounded themselves with a cadre of known industry players as strategic business advisors.
