Marquis Albert de Dion was a pioneer of the automobile industry in France. He was born in 1856 and died in 1946. De Dion and his partner, Georges Bouton, founded the De Dion-Bouton automobile company, which became the world's largest automobile manufacturer for a short time. He also founded the Mondial de l'Automobile (Paris Motor Show) in 1898.
