The Nissan Altima Hybrid is a hybrid version of Nissan's popular Altima sedan, introduced for the 2007 model year and expected to be released early 2007. The Smyrna, Tennessee plant is being made ready to assemble the new Hybrid. Estimated U.S. sales are 100,000 units over a perios of 5 years.

The Altima Hybrid expects to license the drive system technology from Toyota, however they will continue to offer the same 2.5-liter engine and transmission as the current Altimas.
