Recent Changes

  • For the Australian market, 2 new limited edition models became available in 2007 as the Polo Edition and the Polo Pacific. Both cars offer extra features at no extra cost and the features include ABS, dual front and side airbags, leather steering wheel, remote central locking alarm system and more. The Polo Edition is powered by a 1.4 litre engine and costs $16,990 AUD while the Polo Pacific is powered by a bigger 1.6 litre engine and is priced at $19,990 AUD.

In Australia, the Mk IV Polo comes with 4 trim levels starting from Club, Match, TDI and GTI in hachbacks (3 doors and 5 doors) and a chinese-built sedan. Both Club and Match models are powered by a 1.4 litre 4 cylinder engine whereas the TDI gets a 1.9L diesel and the GT gets a turbocharged 1.8 lite petrol engine.
