A Subcompact car is a car that is smaller than compact. It has between 85 and 99 cubic feet of interior volume, and have a wheelbase of about 100 inches.

These specs are often disregarded, and cars that are actually subcompact are labelled compact, such as the Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris.
