The MG Magnette was the original mid-fifties sports sedan from the British Motor Corporation. The drivetrain of the Magnette was the same as that in the MGA, though it debuted in the Magnette two model years before the MGA came to market. The original Magnette ran from 1953 through 1958 and the first ZA was replaced by the ZB in 1956, the latter featuring more horsepower and optional items. The Magnette has been praised for its four-seat capacity, traditional MG character, and capable road handling.
