Recent Changes

The new Ford Ikon can attract a group of masses towards itself, with its new highly developed and highly advanced engine of DuraTorq TDCi type which has a capacity to offer amazing fuel efficiency all through the revealing designs. Interiors of the car are such that they are in perfect co-ordination with the new designed seats and the door trims. With the attracting rear seats features the car comes under the B-segment cars. Considering the safety point the new Ford Ikon fulfils all the requirements of Ford as a brand.

Engine and Transmission

As we have already mentioned Ford Ikon is available with two engine option – first one is the Ford Motors’ popular Rocam engine that has capacity of 1.3L, 1297cc, Rocam petrol engine with 5-speed manual gearbox and with SEFI fuel injection system that produces 70PS of maximum power at 5500rpm with 105Nm of maximum torque at 2500rpm. This Rocam petrol engine of Ford Ikon also delivers better engine performance and good acceleration so that it can cross the mark of 100kmph in just 15.2 seconds and it can achieve the top speed mark of 156kmph. This engine gives 12kmpl mileage in city while on highway it gives 16.5kmpl mileage.

And the next engine option of Ford Ikon is its most popular 1.4L, 1399cc, Duratorq common Rail Diesel engine with five speed manual gearbox and with TDCi fuel injection system that can produce maximum power of 68PS at 4000rpm and maximum torque of 160Nm at 2000rpm. This Duratorq engine of Ford Ikon is well known for delivering high engine performance with excellent fuel efficiency. This Duratorq diesel engine is well known for delivering high performance and excellent acceleration with better fuel efficiency and currently it is also powering the Ford Fiesta. This 1399cc power-plant makes Ford Ikon able to cross the mark of 100kmph in just 13.8 seconds and to touch the top speed mark of 159kmph. This Duratorq, Common Rail Direct Injection diesel engine with come with TDCi fuel injection system offers record breaking fuel efficiency with excellent torque. This engine offers mileage 14kmpl in city while 17.8kmpl on highway.
