Chevrolet Impala Review

I’ve had my 2008 50th anniversary Impala SS for about a year now and really enjoy driving it. The car is the strongest car I have ever owned and still gets 25 MPG on the highway. I’ve had the car on a couple of 10 hour trips and the seats are really comfortable. The 6 way power drivers side seat allows you to position the front of the seat higher so your legs are supported and there is very little tendency to slip forward in the seat. I drove through the Ozark mountains and really had fun with some high G cornering and felt very comfortable with the response and feel of the car.
As far as acceleration is concerned, there is no comparison in this cars category. The traction control system allows any driver to be expert at getting those 303 HP to the road. With the traction control engaged I consistently get less than 6 seconds 0-60. With the traction control off, I get a lot of tire loss and can not get the advertised acceleration. At first I notices some torque steering but since it had passed the break-in period, I have not seen the car do this. Really do not feel any torque steer now and I regularly use the cars acceleration. I just can not resist, it’s too much fun!
