The Audi S8 is a sport version of Audi's flagship sedan, the A8. It is a full-size luxury sedan and was introduced in 1998, four years after the A8's introduction to the European market. It is only available as a four-door saloon/sedan. Its main market competitor is the Mercedes-Benz S63/65 AMG, and the BMW Alpina B7.

See Wikicars' comprehensive <MODEL> Review.

The S8 was later discontinued in September 2002. A new S8 was previewed in the last quarter of 2005, and production commenced in June 2006.
